Diploma in Elementary
Education (D.El.Ed)

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) serves the purpose of preparing teachers for primary level teaching, i.e., from classes I-VIII. Each batch has 50 students learning to be the leaders of tomorrow. Students are constantly encouraged to conduct and attend seminars, debates, group discussions, group activities, symposiums and panel discussions. All of these help students to broaden their thoughts while improving their confidence and communication skills.

The admission is accepted in the following way. 50% seats filled up by the deputy director of education Ernakulam through district wise interview as per state government norms (including community quota). 50% management quota selected on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and interview.

Eligibility

• Candidates with at least 50% marks in the senior secondary examination (+2) or its equivalent are eligible for admission
• The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of Central Government / State Government, whichever is applicable. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates

Admission Procedure

• Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government.
